Sawyers Lodge lies in the grounds of the owners magnificent country house on the outskirts of Hawkhurst - a village steeped in smuggling history! An infamous group, the "Hawkhurst Gang", terrorised the surrounding area between 1735 and 1749. They were the most notorious of the Kent gangs and their headquarters was the Oak & Ivy pub - still open today!! Hawkhurst also has a colonnade of specialist shops, supermarkets, restaurants and the popular digital cinema "Kino". Sawyers Lodge is a superb holiday cottage carefully designed and styled making a perfect, modern holiday base for two. The location is great for sightseeing too - there are many National Trust properties, gardens, golf courses and other attractions nearby, an easy drive will take you to the coast for a day out by the sea and trains to London from Etchingham Station (3.9 miles away) take just over an hour!

Kitchen with tiled floor is very well equipped including an electric oven and induction hob with extractor hood, microwave, slimline dishwasher, fridge with freezer compartment and plenty of storage. (Access to freezer in main house if required).
Shower Room is fully tiled and has a corner shower, washbasin and w.c. The whole ground floor benefits from underfloor heating so no cold toes!

First Floor:
Open Plan Sitting Room/Bedroom with rich laminate flooring, has a very comfortable two seater sofa, chic swivel chair with footstool, occasional tables, flat screen TV/DVD and a sweet little dining table and chairs. The room is flooded with light from the two windows and the Velux rooflights. The Bedroom Area is cleverly screened by the bespoke divider come wardrobe and chest of drawers all rolled into one. There are "zip'n link" twin beds which are normally set as a super king - just ask if you would like them presented as twins
