What this site is

This site preserves the former Hawkhurst village guide for general reference. It is published independently and is not operated by, affiliated with or endorsed by Hawkhurst Parish Council, by the original site's operators, or by any business, venue, club or organisation listed on it.

We do not take bookings, sell anything, forward enquiries or act for any listed business. Any arrangement you make with a business is between you and them.

Accuracy and currency

The listings, events and messages are copies of pages published between 2010 and 2018, shown as they were last recorded, with the date of that record on each page. They are offered as a historical record and a starting point, not as current fact. Businesses close and change; telephone numbers, addresses, prices and opening hours move on; events have already happened. Confirm anything that matters with the business or organisation directly before relying on it.

We take reasonable care in reproducing the archive but accept no liability for loss arising from reliance on information here.

User-contributed content

Message-board posts and business descriptions were written by members of the public and by the businesses themselves, not by us. Opinions in them are their authors' own. If you believe something is inaccurate, defamatory or infringes your rights, please tell us which page; we will review it promptly and remove or amend it where appropriate.

The framework, design and original text of this site are ours. Archived text and photographs remain the property of whoever created them; we reproduce them for the purpose of preservation and will remove any item on request from its rights holder. You may link to any page. You may not scrape the site wholesale or republish its contents as your own.
